Place an Order

Order next year’s lesson books in FISHER under Orders. This guide walks through every screen, from starting an order to adding courses after you submit.

When you click Start New Order, FISHER offers three order types:

  • Adult (Next Class Year): lesson books for your adult class.
  • NextGen (Nested) Next Class Year: lesson books for your children’s and teen classes, plus print materials for Baby, Preschool and Young Elementary.
  • Supplemental (Current Year): extra books for the year in progress. This guide doesn’t cover supplemental orders.

You can have only one of each order type open at a time (Adult and NextGen).

Step 1: Open the Orders dashboard

Every order starts and ends on the Orders dashboard.

  1. In the left menu under Your Class, click Orders.

The dashboard has these parts:

  • Your Order Status: a count of courses ordered this year and last year, in five groups: Adult, Children, Student, Supplementary and Ancillary.
  • Start New Order: the blue button at the top right. It opens the list of order types.
  • Cart button: just below Start New Order. It shows how many items are in your open order (“No Items” when it’s empty). Click it to go to your cart.
  • Active Orders: orders you’ve submitted, with the order number, order type, quantity, date and who placed it. Each one has a View Order Details
  • Completed Orders: orders that have finished processing.

Step 2: Start an Order

  1. On the Orders dashboard, click Start New Order.
  2. Click the Adult (Next Class Year). For NextGen orders see Step 6.
  3. If some of your class participants chose not to receive printed lesson books, an Opt-Out Notification It tells you how many participants opted out and asks whether to take them off your base order amount.
    • Click Yes to lower the suggested quantities. You can still raise them later.
    • Click No to keep the full amounts.

The next screen lists every course on the left and the selected course’s details on the right. Each course in the list shows its length in weeks, such as 1 and 2 Peter (12 weeks) or Genesis (24 weeks).

To find a course:

  • Course Title Search: type part of a title and click the magnifying glass.
  • Select Course Type: narrow the list by course type. Adult courses use one type, Standard.
  • Scroll the list: click any course to see its description and quantity on the right.

To go back to the three order types, click Back to Order Types at the top left.

Step 3: Choose a quantity and add the course to your cart

FISHER fills in a suggested quantity for each course. It starts with your current class enrollment, adds a buffer for growth, and rounds up to a full shrink-wrapped pack. Adult standard courses usually come in packs of 5.

  1. Click the course you want in the left list.
  2. Read the Description to confirm it’s the right study.
  3. Check the number in the Quantity To see how it was worked out, click the ? icon beside it, then click x to close the note.
  4. To change the amount, click + or −, or type a new number in the box.
  5. Click Add to Cart.
  6. A Go to My Cart box appears:
    • Go to my cart opens your order for review.
    • Continue ordering keeps you on the course list so you can add another course.

For next year’s orders, you can request up to 10% more than your actual enrollment. This lets your class plan for growth. If you need more than 10% over enrollment, please submit a ticket with your order number and a short explanation.

The cart button at the top right updates to show how many courses are in your order.

Step 4: Review your cart

Check your cart before you submit. To open it, click the cart button at the top right or choose Go to my cart after adding a course.

Before you submit your order

Please review each item before submitting your order to help ensure accurate materials and smooth delivery. When estimating quantities, review your class’s growth history from the past few years to help guide your order. If your class has consistently grown, it is generally better to overestimate by up to 10% rather than underestimate.

Your Order lists each course with its order type, for example Adult (Next Class Year). For each course you can:

  • Change the quantity: use + and − or type in the box on the right. The ? icon explains how the suggested amount was worked out.
  • Remove it: click Delete under the course name.

Contact Info shows your name, phone number and email.

Shipping Info shows where the books will be sent. To change the address:

  1. Click Edit at the top right of Shipping Info.
  2. Update the name, phone, email, street address or the optional second address line. City, state and ZIP may be filled in for you and can’t be changed here.
  3. Click Update to save, or Cancel to keep the address as it was.

At the bottom of the cart:

  • Submit Order sends your order (see Step 5).
  • Cancel Order discards the open order. Use it if you want to start over.
  • Continue Ordering, at the top left, returns you to the course list.

Step 5: Submit your order

  1. In your cart, click Submit Order.
  2. If you are ordering Adult lessons, FISHER asks, “Does your class offer any NextGen classes?”
    • Click No if your class has no children’s or teen classes. Your order is submitted and you’re done.
    • Click Yes if it does.
  3. If you clicked Yes, FISHER asks, “Would you like to start a new NextGen Order?”
    • Click Yes to go straight to the NextGen course list (see Step 6).
    • Click No to submit only your Adult order. You can start a NextGen order later from Start New Order.
  4. A green message appears at the top: “Great! Order Submitted successfully.”

Your order now shows under Active Orders on the dashboard with its order number.

Confirmation email: After you submit an order for course materials, FISHER emails a confirmation to your class’s Servants Team leaders: the Teaching Director (TD), Associate Teaching Director (ATD), Coordinator (CO) and NextGen Director (NGD). Your class’s Area Director gets a copy too. The email includes a summary of your order.

Step 6: Order NextGen (Nested) courses

The NextGen order works just like the Adult order. The difference is that each study comes in age-level versions.

  1. Open the NextGen course list. Either click Yes to both questions after submitting your Adult order, or click Start New Order and then the NextGen (Nested) Next Class Year
  2. Find each course you need. Every adult study has three versions: Junior, Primary and Teen, such as Genesis (Junior), Genesis (Primary) and Genesis (Teen).
  3. To see one age level at a time, open Select Course Type and choose:
    • Baby/Preschool/Young Elementary
    • Junior
    • Primary
    • Teen
  4. Click a course, check the quantity, and click Add to Cart, as in Step 3. Repeat for each age level your class offers.
  5. Review your cart and click Submit Order, as in Steps 4 and 5.

Baby, Preschool and Young Elementary print materials. Two items are labeled Print Order Only:

  • Baby/Preschool/Young Elementary Children’s Home Papers Year 2 (30 weeks)
  • Baby/Preschool/Young Elementary Teacher Lessons Year 2 (30 weeks)

Order these only if you want pre-printed copies shipped. Your quantity for the Home Papers should cover total enrollment in Baby, Preschool and Young Elementary. If you print these materials locally, skip these items.

Step 7: View, add to or update a submitted order

After you submit, you can still add courses and change the shipping address. If you need a change you can’t make yourself, please submit a ticket with your order number.

To view your order:

  1. Go to the Orders dashboard and click the Active Orders
  2. Find your order by its order number and click View Order Details.
  3. The details page lists each course with its order type and quantity, plus your contact and shipping information.

To add a course to a submitted order:

  1. On the order details page, click Add Additional Items.
  2. The course list for that order type opens, with a Return to Order link at the top left.
  3. Click a course, set the quantity, and click Add to Cart.
  4. Click Go to my cart. Your cart shows the courses you already ordered plus the new one.
  5. Review the quantities. You can delete a course you just added or change its quantity.
  6. Click Save Changes. To leave without saving, click Cancel.
  7. Answer the NextGen question as in Step 5. A message confirms the change.

The new course is added to the same order number. It doesn’t create a new order.

To change the shipping address: on the order details page, click Update Shipping Address and edit the address as in Step 4.

Frequently asked questions

Why can’t I open another order type? You have an open order in your cart. FISHER shows “You have an existing open order that must be submitted (or deleted) before you can proceed.” Click the cart button, then submit that order or click Cancel Order.

Can I cancel an order? Before you submit, yes: click Cancel Order in your cart. Once an order is submitted, there’s no cancel button. You can still add courses and update the shipping address (see Step 7). For any other change, including cancelling, submit a ticket with your order number.

How much can I order? For next year’s orders, up to 10% more than your actual enrollment. Supplemental orders during the current year are limited to 5 lesson books above actual registration. For more than that, submit a ticket with your order number and a short explanation.

Why is my suggested quantity lower than my enrollment? You may have clicked Yes on the Opt-Out Notification, which takes out participants who don’t want printed books. Raise the quantity with + if you need to.

Do I need to order Baby, Preschool and Young Elementary materials? Only if you want pre-printed copies shipped. If you print locally, skip the Print Order Only items.
